The Sunday Paper: Overcoming Obstacles

In life and in business, it is the overcoming of obstacles on a path towards my goals that brings me the most joy. Sometimes it can be very stressful with no end in sight or even a solution to the problem, but I do believe where there is a will there is a way. There are always going to be problems in the game of life. The more times you face up and better those, the easier it is the next time. You become more equipped to do so and even more aware of what not to do, just as much as what to do. Mistakes and failures and problems can be troubling and worrisome, but there is always hope I have found and there is always a way. I am thankful to have such a strong partner by my side in my wife who would go to war with me. We have been to hell and back and are still here to tell the tale.

The Sunday Paper: Overcoming Obstacles

One of the best decisions I ever made was moving to America and marrying my wife. She is my rock and holds things together for me. As tough as it is sometimes, she is still there with me finding a way. Watching the Beckham documentary on Netflix recently, I realized how powerful that is. The Beckhams have been through thick and thin together and chose to stick by each other and swim, rather than sink, as Roy Keane so aptly put it. Anyways, life is tough but it’s rewarding. And each obstacle bettered is a feather in the cap, and you come out the other side with a stronger character and a different outlook on life. The old saying is you make your own luck. I truly believe that if you just keep showing up each day looking to improve and looking for solutions and working hard, success will come and so to that so-called luck. You may not always get what you deserve, but it all works out in the end. And if it hasn’t, well, it ain’t the end!
