The Sunday Paper: Never Give Up

If you don’t give up, you can’t fail in my opinion. It’s only when we succumb and don’t push through that we fail. With the amount of adversity I’ve been through in my fashion journey I should not be standing here today to tell the tale, yet here I am. With each failure and each setback along the way, hard lessons are learned that steel me for the next one. If you live a simple life without much danger, you won’t get any push back. But when you set out to do something great, the push back can be far more than you ever imagine. But happiness does lie in these difficulties I feel. Each obstacle posed and bettered is the journey and is what makes it worthwhile. The thing that keeps me going is a strong purpose and desire to be better and do better. I want to help people look good, feel good and ultimately do good. Staying true to this purpose and my goals is what keeps me on the path no matter how strongly I shouldn’t. I just want to get better and do better, and that’s what gets me out of bed in the morning.

The Sunday Paper: Never Give Up

The only way to do that is by looking for improvement and being willing to find those areas that we can improve because they are always there. You just have to look for them. If you do something you love, you will do well at it as long as it aligns with your purpose. And if it aligns with your purpose, no one can beat you but yourself. And the only person that can stop you is yourself, for that matter. Failure isn’t an option. Where there’s a will, there’s a way no matter how difficult a situation may seem or how bleak the outlook is. People told me I’d never make it to America, let alone be a success here. And here I am to tell the tale. An American citizen based in LA for the past 12 years doing what I love and getting better everyday at it! That’s happiness. But I ain’t gonna lie, some days are tough. And when we get knocked, we just gotta pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and go at it again, but this time with a hard lesson learned. It’s only dumb if you don’t learn from a mistake and try the same thing again that didn’t work. A little adversity builds character.
