The Sunday Paper: Happy Holidays

With the holidays upon us, it is a great time to reflect on what is truly important. Sure, nice gifts that are truly thoughtful are amazing, but for me, it is family and connections that are far more important. It is this time of year that I miss Australia and Sydney even more. Having not spent a Christmas there since 2010, I do hope to spend Christmas there in the near future. As weird as it sounds, I miss the hot Aussie summer and days spent by the beach around this time of year and catching up with family and friends. I guess that doesn’t sound like a weird thing to miss, but as far as Christmas goes that is the Christmas I know, quite the opposite of a white Christmas, a day spent in the sun swimming. I do love LA at this time of year, and honestly it is not that cold, but I do love the cooler evenings and crisper mornings and love the traditions my wife and I have carved for ourselves. Spending the day with those most important and closest to me, my wife and kids. I am looking forward to the day to slow it down before we pick it back up again with one big push before the new year. I must say it has been quite a busy end to the year, and I am excited for the new year to come. So I wish you all Happy Holidays, and hope you enjoy some time with family and friends and some time to slow down, even if just for a day.
