Living in Southern California, we are blessed with some tremendous weather pretty much year round. I do enjoy the sun and the warm weather, but fall/winter for me is a chance to play with outerwear and layers. Don’t get me wrong; there is no comparison to the cold of London or New York in the winter time, but the light cold that is an LA fall and winter still allows for a solid layering game.
In saying that, I do design with cities like London and New York in mind. I envision what it would be like to where certain pieces and dream of what I would wear, whether I am there or not in those circumstances. Hoodies, sweats, bombers, puffer vests, flannels, wool coats and pants, turtle necks and cargos are the order of the day for me. I’m excited by what we have been developing in the sample room of late in this department too. So as the temperature heads south for the winter, albeit still mild, I am excited to see these pieces go into production and hit our site and shelves and ultimately your wardrobe and fit rotation.
