The Sunday Paper: NYC Travel Journal

This week being spring break and my kids off school, we decided to head to NYC. And like any trip for us, we like to do a bit of business as well as enjoy our vacation. It was great to be back in the city after 2 ½ years away. The last time we were here was to launch our Adidas collab with James Harden. That felt like a lifetime ago, and the city feels back to life now after Covid. We managed to catch two NBA games this week. The first was the Knicks at Madison Square Garden. And being my first time in the Garden, it was quite an experience and one I got to enjoy with my son Cooper. The next evening we got to go to Brooklyn and the Barclays Center, another great arena and experience, and caught the Bucks and Nets game. We were lucky enough to meet Kevin Durant, who my son is a huge fan of to say the least, and also Seth Curry before the game. What a game to catch. Unfortunately the Nets didn’t get the win that night but was still a great experience for the whole family.

As for business, we had some good meetings in regards to expanding the line into jewelry and accessories which I am excited about. So keep an eye out for that in the near future as well.

We also hit up our favorite breakfast spot several times this week, Clinton Street Bakery. The best pancakes ever, in my opinion. As well as Ruby’s which is an Australian restaurant and one of my faves in the city also.

The cold weather definitely allowed for some layering of fits and testing of new products, like our denim jacket from our upcoming denim line and our polar fleece bootcut sweatpants, which definitely came in clutch for warmth, style and comfort. It’s a nice feeling to wear the things you create and to be proud of a product. The robe coat got many compliments on the streets, as well as did the denim jacket and the bootcut sweats.

All in all, it’s been a great trip and the energy of the city excites me and inspires me to be hungry and go after my dreams. Love this city and look forward to coming back soon!
