The Sunday Paper: Happy New Year

As the new year is upon us, it’s a good moment to step back and take stock of the year that was. This year, like others, presented it’s own unique set of challenges and setbacks, as well as opportunities. To focus on the good and learn from the bad, to make the new year even better is my intention. A lot of what we have been working towards this year will come to fruition in 2023, so I am quite excited for the new year ahead - a lot of which I unfortunately can’t share all the details on just yet, but be sure to stay tuned. My goal from here on out is to make each year better than the next, starting with 2023. As for 2022, there were some great moments both personally and professionally.

Starting with a trip as a family to NYC for business and pleasure. It was so amazing to be back in NYC after not having been back in a few years. Eating at all our favorite spots and sharing the experience with our kids was fun. Meeting KD, my son Cooper’s favorite player, was another highlight, as well as setting the wheels in motion for our Avianne Jewelers collab. It was indeed a successful and inspiring trip.

Next up was our trip to Australia. I hadn’t been home for 8 long years and boy did I miss it. It was a whirlwind of a trip catching up with friends and family and visiting all the places I loved and some new ones as well. I definitely want to spend more time back home more often, so my kids can grow up around family and friends and be exposed to the Aussie way of life. I miss it again already and look forward to heading back in 2023.

Then on to Miami for Art Basel and our collab with Jimmy Butler’s BigFace Coffee, which was a huge success. We look forward to potentially doing more with them in the near future.

So as ’22 comes to a close, we look ahead and get to close this chapter and open a new one. It is a chance to start over. A chance to improve and a chance to turn dreams into reality. I have always been a dreamer since I was a kid, and I’d like to think I haven’t lost that quality. So to all who supported us on this journey around the sun, we appreciate you and wish you nothing but success in the new year. Happy New Year!
